UBA calls on private sector to prioritize opportunities for people with disabilities

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) was awarded the Disability-Friendly Award by the National Assembly in Abuja. Alex Alozie, the executive director (North) of UBA, emphasized the importance of corporate organizations prioritizing issues related to disabilities. The award was given to UBA in recognition of its accessible banking products for physically challenged individuals. The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Disability, Bashiru Dawodu, presented the award to UBA. Alozie commended the National Assembly for the honor and expressed UBA’s commitment to continue supporting the disabled community. UBA printed account opening forms for the visually impaired and has helped many open accounts across Nigeria. Dawodu praised UBA for their outstanding efforts in assisting visually impaired individuals with banking services. Overall, UBA’s dedication to disability affairs earned them recognition from the National Assembly.
